2. When do these terms apply?

These terms apply to all purchases made through www.frekko.nl.

For private customers in the Netherlands (and the rest of the EU), Dutch law applies, taking into account the mandatory consumer protection rules in your own country. The Dutch version of these terms and conditions always prevails.

Are you purchasing on behalf of a company? Then the additional business terms (see section 12) apply.


3. Stock & Pricing

We clearly indicate whether a product is in stock:

  • In stock: Shipped as soon as possible.

  • Not in stock: Delivery takes a bit longer, usually 5–10 business days, depending on the supplier.

  • Not available: On request — we’ll do our best, but no delivery guarantee.

Promotions and discounted products cannot be returned.


4. Payment

Payments are processed through our secure payment partner. You can choose your preferred payment method during checkout.


5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship with PostNL, DPD, DHL, UPS, or another courier – we’ll choose the best option.
Orders are usually shipped within 2–3 business days.

Our coffees are freshly roasted every Tuesday. Order before Tuesday and your coffee will be roasted that same day. Orders placed after Tuesday may need to wait until the next roasting day.

Deliveries within the Netherlands take place on weekdays between 09:00 and 18:00.

For heavy or high-value packages, we may choose delivery via a courier instead of the regular postal service. We’ll always contact you to arrange this. Courier deliveries take place only on weekdays, and the courier will call before arrival — please include your phone number when placing your order.

Pick-up is also possible! Just make an appointment and your coffee will be ready.

Would you like insured shipping? Let us know — this can be arranged for a small additional fee.

Please check your order within 48 hours after delivery. We carefully inspect every shipment before dispatch, but if you notice damage, please report it in writing immediately. After 48 hours, we can unfortunately no longer resolve it free of charge.

If your parcel is refused, unclaimed, or returned, shipping and return costs will be charged.


6. Not satisfied? Returns are possible (for EU consumers)

You may cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product.

  • Return shipping costs are at your own expense.

  • Within 14 days after notifying us, you will receive your refund (excluding shipping costs), provided the product is returned unused and in good condition.

  • Administrative costs for returns or cancellations are at your own expense.

Please note:

  • Only unused products may be returned.

  • If the product has been used, you may receive up to 85% of the purchase price back, depending on its condition.

  • Sale items cannot be returned.

  • Custom-made or personalized products (for example, with your name or specific modifications) cannot be returned.

  • Returning items is at your own risk. FREKKO cannot be held responsible for loss during return shipping — please contact the carrier.

We use our own return form and refer to the European model withdrawal form.


7. Exchanges

Would you like to exchange a product? No problem — send us an email at info@frekko.nl.

  • Return shipping costs are at your expense, unless otherwise agreed.

  • The product must be unused, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Any depreciation in value is at your own expense.


8. Incorrect delivery address

Entered the wrong delivery address? Let us know as soon as possible via info@frekko.nl or by phone.

  • If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll happily update the address.

  • If the parcel is already on its way, you may be able to redirect it to a pick-up point.

  • If it’s returned to us, we’ll charge the shipping and return costs.


9. Warranty (Consumers)

  • Legal warranty of 2 years applies to consumer products.

  • Warranty does not cover misuse or normal wear and tear.

  • Report defects within 2 months of discovery.

Note: Damage caused by improper use, incorrect installation, or unsuitable water (e.g. unfiltered tap water) is not covered by warranty.


10. Liability

We do everything we can to deliver quality products, but we cannot accept liability for:

  • Damage caused by improper use, installation, or maintenance.

  • Injury or bodily harm resulting from misuse or incorrect maintenance.

  • Damage to equipment or other property caused by use contrary to the instructions.

  • Small stones or foreign objects in coffee beans — we carefully check, but cannot guarantee 100%.

For in-person purchases at our studio, we always aim to provide the best possible advice. However, all official documentation and website information are leading.
FREKKO cannot be held responsible for misunderstandings or damage resulting from verbal explanations. Statements made during conversations cannot create rights if they deviate from these written terms.


11. Ordering from within the EU

You can also order from us if you live outside the Netherlands.

  • You have a 14-day withdrawal right (in line with EU Directive 2011/83/EU).

  • Shipping costs, return costs, and delivery times vary by country and are shown in advance.

  • Prices include VAT (via the OSS scheme).

  • Communication is in Dutch or English.


12. Orders Outside the EU (Including the United Kingdom)

Orders shipped outside the EU, including the UK, may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, and local clearance or handling fees. These charges are set by your local authorities and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please note that FREKKO does not have any control over these fees.

Customs processing may occasionally cause delivery delays.

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid fees and returned to us, the shipping, return, and customs costs will be deducted from your refund.


13. Business Purchases (B2B)

For business orders, different terms apply:

  • Warranty period: 1 year, unless otherwise agreed.

  • The right of withdrawal does not apply to business purchases.

  • Returns are only possible in case of defects or if agreed in advance.

  • Prices are shown including VAT (as stated on the invoice).

  • Ownership is transferred only after full payment.

  • FREKKO is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.


14. Final provisions

We may update these terms at any time. In case of discrepancies between translations, the Dutch text is leading.
